- The Company was established in 1985 by Roy Clunie.
- The Company set-up is as follows:
- Oban – Head Office, Showroom/Store, Operations, Finance and Sales
- Fort William – Showroom/Store
- Helensburgh – Showroom/Store
- CGL support over 2,500 large organisations, small/medium sized businesses and home offices in the public and private sectors across Argyll & The Isles, Lochaber and Helensburgh.

- Customer orders and enquiries can be taken in the showroom/stores, on the telephone, by fax, by e mail, at the customer and on-line at www.cg-ltd.co.uk
- We employ 27 people (6 senior management and 20 staff)

- We continue to invest in our business.
- In 2004 we introduced new back end and front end software, a new server and ADSL broadband.
- During 2005, we upgraded our entire studio Design software and enhanced the Print operation with a new plate maker, printing press and booklet maker. In November, we set up a new showroom/store in Helensburgh.
- In 2006, we have put in place new printer copiers to improve the Copy Shops at all three locations. In January, CGL purchased the business of Sign & Design in Oban.
- In 2007 we upgraded the studio software including new imposition software, new operating systems and workflow software for better control of printing jobs.
- In June 2007 we replaced our Heidelberg 4 colour press with a new Hamada 4 Colour Press.
- June 2007 we purchased a new digital system to allow for faster turnaround times to the front shop/copy shop facilities.
- CGL is a member of Office Friendly, a group of over 140 UK independent dealers with a combined turnover of £320m who come together for benefits in purchasing, marketing and ecommerce
- We have been an Investor in People since 1998 and have been reviewed successfully on three occasions. In 2005, we started to work with the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) model and in 2006 we embarked on the Company’s first formal Management training programme.
